Dr. Cait Hosanee, ND Cochrane Naturopath

Hello

Dr. Cait Hosanee is a Naturopathic Doctor and Birth Doula in Cochrane, Alberta, with a focus on hormones, fertility, pregnancy, and children's health. She provides care from pre-conception and beyond, aiming to empower her patients to achieve optimal health and wellness through natural and holistic approaches.

My Story

Growing up in New Brunswick, I’ve always appreciated nature and its healing properties. My passion for naturopathic medicine, however, was instilled in me by my grandfather. A medical doctor from Croatia, he chose natural remedies wherever he could. He taught me the importance of balancing the need for medical intervention with the remedies the earth provides.

I am an evidence-informed naturopathic doctor in Cochrane and Calgary, Alberta. I studied naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario. Before that, I completed a Bachelor of Science with honours in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of New Brunswick in my hometown of Fredericton.

I have always been drawn to fertility, pregnancy, and maternal health. After being diagnosed with endometriosis myself, and understanding how it could affect my own fertility journey, I set out to learn everything I could about hormones, fertility, and pregnancy. Now a mother of two, I hope to use that knowledge to support as many women as possible in achieving a healthy pregnancy.

I moved to Cochrane to be with the love of my life and to be closer to the mountains. I am happiest in nature, so outside of clinic you’ll find me hiking, kayaking, or walking with my family. I have also played competitive basketball and volleyball, and I very much enjoy weightlifting.
